Eiche ist ein zähes Holz. Selbst sehr dünne Stellen können halten. Zum Schluss wird der Hals dünner geschnitten. Das ist ein Risiko, da der Kopf abbrechen kann. Dann ist die Skulptur was sie vorher schon war, Brennholz minus der Späne.
Oak wood is tough. Thin points rest stable. For finishing the sculpture the neck gets cut even thinner. There is the risk to break the neck and to loose the figurine altogether. It would make the sculpture what it was before, fire wood minus the chippings.
